24.03.23 Coo’s @The Brig Inn at the Bridge of Don, Aberdeen for lunch. 1x Chicken Balmoral and 1x haddock in a panko crumb. Followed by cranachan and a toffee cheesecake. Both meals were average. The haddock was a piece and not a full fillet. Chicken Balmoral, while good seemed to be pricey for the quantity. Both sweets were good and tasty and quite large. Would give Coo’s a 7 out of 10.
JimAt 12 noon on Wednesday 3 March we went to Dean’s of Huntly for lunch. Good menu, well prepared food and reasonably priced. Macaroni cheese, chips, peas and garlic bread and smoked haddock on a bed of mash and veg. Two cold drinks and a pot of tea for two….

J & M Raffan24.01.24 Bought beef sausages from Davidson’s outlet at Dobbies, Lang Strachan, Aberdeen. Will update when we try them. Also their Pork Sausages are very good and worth a try. Davidson’s beef sausages are good.
Jim47th wedding anniversary and still going strong. On Tuesday 15 March went to Millar and Carter for dinner. Absolutely fist class meal.
J & M RaffanOn Monday 25th called at I. G. Thomson (known to some locally as ‘Billy Butcher), Mid Street, Keith and bought 2 lbs of beef sausages to give them a try. Have to say they are very nice and are recommended. Good variety of butchery products.
JimWhile at Huntly today (26.05) visited the Market Cafe at Huntly Mart, just off the A96. Not a big menu but good home style cooking. 2 mince and tatties, skirlie and cabbage. 1x 500ml bottle of water and a 500ml bottle of juice. Total £14.50. Very good value and tasted…
